The Frost on the Straw

The father is dead. The wife is gone. The wolves are at the door.

Eric has spent a decade holding the Viking clan of Ormsvik together with cold authority and unyielding restraint. His restless younger brother, Ivar, views that restraint as weakness—and will stop at nothing to tear the legacy apart.

Eager to prove himself, Ivar forces the clan’s prows west toward the undefended monasteries of Ireland. What begins as a quest for silver quickly spirals into an unbridled storm of fire, slaughter, and blood-lust. But when Eric steps in to save a striking, copper-haired captive from Ivar’s blade, a dangerous new tension ignites between the brothers.

In a world ruled by steel and survival, some choices cannot be unmade. And when the ash settles, Eric and Ivar will have to pay the ultimate blood-price for their ambitions.
